El Horcajo is a working Andalusian farm in Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, 20 km north-west of Ronda. It offers an outdoor pool and country-style accommodation with a private balcony.

The air-conditioned rooms at Ronda Hotel El Horcajo feature earthenware tiles and wooden beams. They come with satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom with a hairdryer.

The Horcajo’s restaurant serves a buffet breakfast, and other home-made meals can be prepared on request. There is also a bar, and the hotel can provide packed lunches if you are planning a day trip.

what a gem of a place this is. very remote so need a car to get there but pure bliss of countryside and mountains. food at dinner was absolutely amazing too

Perfect stay at this nice and quite hotel, if I could, I would have stayed even a little longer.

Breakfast choices were a little limited, but everything was of very good quality. Dinner was very nice and the service was always very good. The hotel is located in a very quiet place in the middle of nature in a valley between the mountains, the perfect place to relax and be away from noise and busy life. It's nearby lots of beautiful hiking and cycling tracks, so also a good place for more active travelers. The room was in authentic style, very clean and well maintained.

A secluded haven at the heart of the mountains with a beautiful pool

Perfect rural place, very remotely located at the bottom of a valley, very secluded, which comes with total tranquility and silence (and a veeery steep road to drive down or up to get in and out of the location) and amazing views. There is a very pretty swimming pool and excellent food, served outdoors under a huge, beautifully lit tree. Really very pleasantly surprised with this place, literally a hidden gem

It’s the perfect get away from the busy cities. Great place for writers, artists, meditators to escape to. Saturday even

We absolutely loved this quiet and away from it all location. We booked 3 nights and extended to 5 to continue exploring the area. It’s a great base to access the surrounding white villages, Ronda, Zahara de Sierra etc. Hiking this are is great too. The hotel hike is an ideal and clearly marked hilly loop. We did it 6 times during our stay and loved it! The staff are exceptionally kind, caring and helpful.

There is nothing that we didn’t like. Digging deep here: The towels are thin and could be replaced. Vegetables could be added to the menu.

Great stay in a converted old farm. Full of character and comfortable.

What a lovely location down a long farm track. The property was a converted farm with an abundance of original features. The dining room was located under an enormous tree in the courtyard and was absolutely delightful. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and were once stables. Good location for visiting nearby places of interest eg. Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra, Setenil and Ronda.

Lovely setting with room to explore and relax. Restaurant and food was good and staff very helpful.

For a family with small children the open stairs to the upper floor were rather dangerous. We also would have liked a doormat upon which to wipe our muddy shoes.

This hotel deserves to be 4.5 stars as is.

Lovely location; great swimming pool; good air conditioning; comfortable beds; charming breakfast courtyard outside; cosy living room; exotic back dinner garden; lovely walks up into the mountains with our dog, who was made to feel very welcome.

There could perhaps have been a little more "simple" food on the dinner menu. Very basic American-style club sandwiches and chicken nuggets are always a good base for any hotel if you're not feeling like anything exotic. Also, porridge (cooked in the way of the Scots) is always a good thing to serve at breakfast - even in hot climates.

Tranquil place in a quiet valley, in a traditional style farmhouse, great pool and surrounded by nature.

Beautiful setting in the valley, with lovely views. A traditional hacienda/farm house converted into accommodation, with some lovely shades trees. It has a fantastic pool - great size and very little chlorine, where swallows swoop over and around you. A lovely courtyard under the shade of a huge tree, lit up very beautifully at night, where people can have their dinner (make sure you speak to reception and can book a spot). The hotel can host many people, but despite this it has a calm, quiet and peaceful feel. The mattresses were comfy, we had everything we needed, the AC worked fine, and we had a lovely terrace that gave us views of the orchard and mountains. We enjoyed the breakfast, there was a good selection of typical Spanish options.

The room could do with a bit of updating but is in keeping with the traditional feel, we would have found a double bed more comfortable than 2 singles.

Amazing location. Especially having dinner under the large tree. Dinner was great, excellent value for money. Delicious wine from the local bodega.

Breakfast was rather chaotic, needed more staff.

Great stay, surrounded by hills and olive trees

The location is literally in the middle of nowhere (in a positive way). You get to experience quiet, easy and relaxing night. Hearing the sound of the birds in the morning... something you can't experience in the cities. The views are beautiful. If you're a person who enjoys slower pace of living, this is for you! For breakfast buffet is rich, you have a lot of choices - basically anything you want.

The room could be cleaner since we found some hair in the bathroom, but the whole positive stay didn't ruin the experience.

A place of peace and tranquility, we loved it.

Breakfast was just fabulous - lots of choice. I loved the swallows - trying so hard to get into our room. Such a peaceful lovely location and the staff were so kind and helpful - kindly upgraded us just because they could! Full of character and charm.

A few more vegetarian options on the main menu in the evening.
